Most of IPL till now has been an Aussie show, with a bit of Brendon Mcullum thrown in. Gilchrist pulverized the Mumbaikars, Andrew Symonds sizzled against the Rajasthan Royals, only to be bettered by another Aussie, Shane Warne. Speaking of Shane Warne, he seems to be relishing his role as captain/coach. The way he has brought together his team, which was not given any chance before the start of IPL into now becoming a favorite, is commendable indeed. Mcgrath has been his usual miserly self, bowling one perfect over after another in IPL, proving that he still is perhaps the best fast bowler around. Amongst all these Aussies, one Indian has also done his reputation no harm. The calm and collected Rohit Sharma, has been the lone shining spot for the otherwise inconsistent Deccan Chargers. His consistent batting has been a treat to watch. People are already comparing him with Sachin Tendulkar. But it is best that we leave him alone. He is Rohit Sharma no.1 and not Sachin Tendulkar no.2.

From the reaction of Rahul Dravid,at the end it looked like as if Bangalore had won the IPL. It was a close game and I get a feeling that Hyderabad just threw it away at the wrong time. The way Rohit Sharma and Laxman were going, it was all plain and simple for Hyderabad but once they got out, things dipped for them.
