Shah Rukh Khan’s Knight Riders has already raked in Rs 3 crore from the ticket sales of its second home match to be played against Mumbai Indians at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on April 29.
The team bagged Rs 4 crore from ticket sales from its first match in Kolkata on April 20 against Hyderabad Deccan Chargers.
According to Samar Paul, joint secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), “Almost all tickets have been sold out except a handful that are priced at Rs 655. These too will be sold out on April 29 morning. There will be room for 6,000 more spectators this time at Eden Gardens since Shah Rukh Khan is not doing any live performance this time and therefore the seats that were removed for his security last time could be used again.”
